Thanks to the progress of medicine, better eating habits, and a healthier working environments, human beings today live longer. When life expectancy was of 69 years of age, the golden age lasted all but 4 years and often these 4 four years were lived in sickness without being able to work or do any other activities. Today we get to 65 healthy and full of energy. Its normal that we get bored after a few mouths in retirement.

There are fewer new arrivals in the work force. If all workers of 65 left their jobs immediately, it would create a shortage of labour that would greatly impact the economy.
Less exhausting, and wearing jobs
Robotising had the effect of reducing the energy needed at most jobs. A person does’nt have to be in his prime to keep up with the rate of production we expected.

People tend to give less importance to their jobs, and more and more importance to their personnel life. In consequence, they are looking for a better balance between work and family this is something that was not taught of a few years ago. This also has an effect on labour giving more opportunity to those of us that are looking for a job.
